Milan
Move through Milan, where ritual and refinement meet in unexpected ways. Beneath the pace of morning espresso, the reverence for craftsmanship and the beauty woven into daily life, the city reveals itself through the smallest acts of attention.
In collaboration with Milan-based Energy Strategist practitioner KRISTEN GROVE, we’ve gathered a few of our favorite grounding spaces, gifted practitioners, and restorative experiences for experiencing travel as transformation, reconnecting with yourself within the rhythm of the city.
Sound (and Food) Alchemy
LARISSA GIERS describes herself as a sound and food alchemist. She believes our frequency is connected both to our personal intentions as well as our nourishment. Through immersive experiences that combine music, vibrational healing and ritual, she works to increase nervous system restoration. She hosts in person workshops in Milan as well as retreats around Europe - or go deeper with a 1:1 personal sound healing session at her studio.
Identity Evolution
Conscious Leadership Advisor PATRIK ORIOT has no website or Instagram but is an in-the-know name for those who are looking to develop an identity that is rooted in being - over doing. Patrick integrates multiple somatic modalities to provide his clients with a new pathway for genuine presence. His work combines deep presence with exceptional problem-solving capacity, helping leaders and teams move through instability with clarity, coherence, and strategic intelligence. Referral only, need we say more?
Energy Massage Magic
CORIN ASARO is a phenomenal energy massage therapist. She offers deeply intuitive energy massage sessions designed to reconnect body, mind, and nervous system. The kind of experience you leave feeling subtly rearranged from the inside out.
“A personal favorite for restoring yourself after long days moving through the city. Honestly I send all my friends to her when they visit.” - Kristen Grove
A Can’t-Miss Culinary Adventure
A meal at YAPA transports you to another world, through a nomadic journey of experiences, memories, and flavours, distilled on your plate. Chef Matteo Pancetti believes that taking pleasure in sharing food is a sacred ritual, and translates that to every part of his culinary process. It goes beyond just sourcing local and seasonal ingredients, and touches into the deep relationship he has with land and sea. The Ceviche Yapa is Kristen’s favorite dish.
A Hidden Gem
Seek out CASCINA NASCOSTA, a farm-to-table restaurant tucked away inside the Parco Sempione. Meaning “hidden home”, it is an oasis amid the greenery full of locals gathering to support sustainability.
Breaking a Sweat
CERESIO 7 offers a more elevated approach to movement and restoration, pairing skyline views with training, wellness, and design-forward calm. Come for the workout, stay for the feeling of having briefly escaped the pace of the city.
Raising Consciousness Through Music
PIANO CITY MILANO transforms the city into a living concert hall each May, so mark your calendar for next Spring. With performances unfolding across courtyards, homes, theaters, and unexpected public spaces. What began in 2011 as a city-wide piano festival has evolved into one of Milan’s most beloved cultural rituals, using music as a way to reshape how people gather together.
Museum Meditations
TRIENNALE MILANO invites you to spend an afternoon moving between exhibition spaces and the tree-lined paths of Parco Sempione just outside. One moment you’re immersed in conversations around design and culture, the next you’re walking beneath the canopy of the park.
VILLA NECCHI CAMPIGLIO offers a peaceful vision of Milanese luxury, where modernist architecture meets beautifully lived-in interiors. Wandering through the home and gardens feels less like visiting a museum and more like stepping into a meditation on how beauty can shape daily life.
Walk This Way
Kristen’s Favorite Sacred Walks and Hikes
SACRO MONTE DI VARESE
“This cobblestone pilgrimage path is a must-do and one of my favorite walks.” With 14 chapels along the way leading up to a sanctuary, it has a strong spiritual structure, giving you the space to pause and reflect at each chapel. Set within the forest, this one is best done slowly in the early morning or late afternoon to fully immerse yourself in the meditation atmosphere.
VIA FRANCIGENA
“This is ironically, less known to Italians and more known to foreigners.” This walk is part of the ancient pilgrimage tour from Canterbury to Rome, so it is ideal for getting into the “pilgrim mindset.” You’ll pass churches, farms and small villages, and there are little stops along the way where you can get a sticker or a stamp for each touch point that you’ve done on the path.
SENTIERO DEL VIANDANTE
Set outside of Milan, this old traveler’s path connects lakeside villages and is a mix of forest, olive groves and Lake Como views. Perfect for those who want a flexible option, you can hike short segments or multiple stages. “This one is quiet, reflective and with a sense of journeying through history.”
MONTE SAN PRIMO
“This one feels more spiritual through scale and silence, than religion.” The highest peak near Lake Como with sweeping alpine views, it is a steady hike with a rewarding summit perspective. Perfect for sunrise or sunset solitude.
